3 months ago – Wed, Sep 04, 2024 at 10:41:36 AM

Good news everyone!

Pins are done and are readying to ship. I have some production photos below~

Now that pins are sorted, I'm placing orders for prints and t-shirts. Your next update will be pictures of pins in-hand and notice of shipping!

If you haven't already filled out your pledge manager survey, please do so. Otherwise we can't ship to you.

Thanks for your patience <3

Frustrating Update
4 months ago – Sat, Aug 03, 2024 at 05:25:33 AM

Hello friends,

I'm unfortunately here with a frustrating update.

It's come to my attention that my sales rep is no longer with my pin manufacturer. We've been assigned a new sales rep, and I'm pretty sure I've overwhelmed the poor woman. :(

Between comic Kickstarters, Pintopia, and this campaign, we've a number of pending pin designs. I submitted each order via email, separate emails, and it seems details got crossed on their end. Although I diligently kept each order on its own email chain, my comic pins came back with Jeffery's numbered backstamp, and my dice pins came back with the Modern Medusa plating options.

After weeks of back and forth, trying to straighten out all the details, I've come to the decision to cancel all my pending orders and start over from fresh. Submitting, proofing, and approving one design at a time.

This is proving to be a long a grueling process that I'm still in the middle of. However, a) our manu does good work, so I know we'll be happy with the quality and look of the pins, and this is still (probably) faster than finding and vetting another manufacturer and b) we'll know each pin is made correctly without error.

I've prioritized the Modern Medusa pin before the others as it's a standalone and other campaigns have multiple designs.

I'm frustrated with this setback, but at least things are moving in the right direction again. I appreciate all your support and your patience as I work through this. I'm really hoping to have a positive update soon.

Reward Surveys
5 months ago – Mon, Jun 17, 2024 at 11:32:32 AM

Smoke test for reward surveys just went out! So some of you should see those in your emails shortly. The rest should be going out tomorrow, assuming there's no glitching. Please fill these out promptly so we have accurate counts on everything we need ordered. <3

If you're following the campaign and didn't get to pledge in time, there's a preorder store open for this week only: https://modernmedusa.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

We'll post another update when surveys are locking down.

Cheers!

That's a wrap!

Thank you everyone who backed this campaign! We appreciate all the support.

NEXT STEPS
- Backer Kit takes approximately two weeks to process funds.
- Once funds are in hand, we'll send out invites to the pledge manager. This is how we'll collect shipping addresses, and it'll be your last chance to add items to your pledge.
- When we have final counts of everything, we'll order pins, prints and shirts. We anticipate about 4 weeks for production (primarily the pins).

If you backed for a t-shirt and wish to have it to wear for the memorial on 6.22, please reach out and I'll do my best to accommodate. You can reach us directly at [email protected]

I'll update as fulfillment progresses.

Cheers!

Funded! What does that mean now?
6 months ago – Wed, May 15, 2024 at 07:39:13 PM

Hey folks!

Thank you so much for backing this project. It means a lot to be able to share my friend's art one more time. Thanks for joining this journey. <3

The project is funded! The $300 goal was to set aside enough funds for 100 numbered enamel pins, plus a handful of shirts and prints. (Again, only enough pins to fulfill this campaign will be produced.) With the overhead out of the way, all funds raised from here on out will be gifted to Jeffrey's family.

I know some of you were fans of Jeffrey's work or friends of his, or maybe friends of mine. What brought you to this campaign? What's your favorite piece of Jeffrey's? Do you have a favorite memory of him? Share in the comments. Let's share some love.

I'll start!

My favorite piece was his Spectacular Spiderman with spidy swinging over the Space Needle.

Fun fact: At Emerald City Comic Con 2019, I got two prints of this cover. One for me and one for my childhood friend's now-husband, Lance. Somewhere between two moves, the pandemic, and a fit of ADHD, Lance recieved his print three years later! XD
